2015 Oscar Nomination Predictions! (UPDATED)

Hey everybody! So I just want to get this down in writing before the official announcement tomorrow morning. The professional Oscar pundits out there usually get somewhere around 70 percent of the nominations correct, so let’s see if I can land within that range! To accomplish this, I must stress that these are the movies and performances that I think WILL get nominated, not necessarily the ones I WANT. I’ll do all the categories besides the documentaries and shorts, simply because I haven’t seen enough of those this past year. I’ll pick winners for those categories come Oscar night, however. Quick note, I will alphabetize all of my picks so they have no semblance of favoritism (at this point anyway). Alright, so with no further ado, here’s the names I expect to be called tomorrow!

SCORE: 76/101

PERCENTAGE CORRECT: 75.25%

I cleared my target percentage and managed to do better than last year! There were plenty of upsets (particularly no LEGO Movie), but I’m still happy with how everything turned out. I’ll do this all again right before the ceremony with my anticipated winners!

So that’s what I’ve got for tomorrow! We’ll see how everything turns out, I’ll update the post with my winning percentage after the nominations are announced. Thanks for reading, hopefully your predictions go well too!
